I have a friend who needs to practice taking better care of herself. She is an attractive woman but when we go to bed together I notice it. How do I tell her she needs to wear deodorant or take a shower with deodorant soap everyday. She is in her mid 50 and I know she doesen't relize it.

Hi, I have been around hundreds of women, sleeping with many of them and honestly have never been around a smelly woman, During menopause a womans body odor changes because of a diminished estrogen supply, so she may be taking care of herself but as you said she is not aware of her odor. I am sure she would want to know so just have a talk with her. If it was you with the problem, you would want to know.....LenVegas

Some people may have a diminished ability to smell in general. I had the flu back in january and I lost all sense of taste and smell for several weeks. When it came back it was very sporadic. I couldnt even smell perfume or deodorant so I wanted to be sure I didn't have that problem.

One thing to take for lack of olfactory sense is zinc. I read that on Internet!

So I definitely think some people don't realize their sense of smell is "off" and it needs to be addressed! What about people at her work?

yep, say something!! BEing menopausal causes so many changes. I am surprised more women don't go nutty over it.
