I have been suffering with IBS for three years! I first went to the doctors in 2010 for bloating and using the loo far to much. After loads of blood tests and cameras! It was diagnosed as severe IBS. Unfortunately the pain meds I was given do very little for this awful pain and I can go to the loo over 20 times a day, it has made my life a misery. Sadly this kept me off work for a year and I lost my job after 12 years of hard work, which was really upsetting. The IBS wakes me through the night with severe pain and the urgency to go to the loo, I have become housebound and have not been out for over a year, I am constantly anxious and rely on family members to help me with my day to day needs. I am also a diabetic and the two illness' are not a very good mix. I am exhausted everyday, in pain, moody and I cry a lot. i have to depend on family to get me to my hospital appointments and I have to starve myself so I have no accidents! i have had many accidents which is awful and humilating

I can relate!I feel your pain!
I have severe IBS but the c kind, severe hormonal imbalance, severe social phobia and severe arthritis from hardly evere having a bm. I'm housebound too and I live with my mom. I don't have friends since I have social phobia plus I live in a crappy city. I can;t hold down a job at all. I've been tryin so many remedies but nothin seems to really work. I have severe c, trapped gas, frequent urination, bloat, arthritis, muscle pain, yeast overgrowth, migraines/headaches, insomnia, gas pains, cramps.
Te frequent urination has become worse at night so I hardly sleep and been getting migraines frequently. My IBS has caused my hormones to be so ouut of whack that I get severe PMS 2 weeks b4 I start and then when I do start the pain is so severe the first 2 days it actually feels like labor. I can't even handle it . I try not to scream because of neighbors and I have 2 cats. I don't how I'm going to keep on livin like this.
