Hi, so I'm here out of confusion and would love some opinions. I am a 20 year old female who, until about 6 months ago was pretty okay. My freshman year of college was very rough, my roommate was depressed and it was very strenuous. Then in my sophomore year I began to have major anxiety. I began to see a
Therapist in the summer and told him all my symptoms: anxiety, fear, inability to focus, depression, major sleep shakes at night. When I say shakes, I mean they look like seizures, but I am conscious.... Anyway. So he referred me to a psychiatrist who believed I was depressed because of the "roommate from hell". I started on lexapro and no longer felt so freaked out about everything and was no longer living on my bed. He also ordered blood work to check my thyroid. So I go back in a month and tell him that my ability to focus is now far worse because in a twisted way my anxiety would keep my ducks in a row when it came to getting things done. He then tells me that my ASO titers came back at 1600 and it was the Highest he has ever seen. I haven't had strep in years , but used to get it all the time. I've even had my tonsils and adenoids out. I know there's a lot going on here, but if you happen to read this and have any experience with ADD, PANDAS, high titer count but no strep, anxiety.. Anything. Please. Tomorrow I'm trying an add med, If that doesn't work it's back on a higher dose of lexapro, and if that doesn't work it's onto a three week antibiotic treatment and a PANDAS specialist.
