Does Omega3 Fish Oil increase bad cholesterol?

Hi, actually fish oil can lower LDL or bad cholesterol while raising your HDL or good cholesterol numbers so taking Omega 3s is very benifitial.

In answer to your question, yes, it does.

I have to disagree with the LDL reduction as stated in the previous post.

Many human studies have concluded that omega-3 fatty acids containing a minimum of 650mg EPA and 350mg DHA, reduce serum triglycerides by 25 to 30 percent. Increase low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels by 5 to 10 percent, and increase HDL cholesterol levels by 1 to 3 percent. Total cholesterol has been found not to be significantly affected.
