    Overuse of Hands/Fingers

    Good evening,

I am a 23 y/o male, just out of college and into the workplace.
As it happens, I work at an office, mostly computer work all day, typing and using a mouse. I come home, my hobbies are PC video gaming with friends (heavy mouse and keyboard again), and guitar.

All of these really rely on using my hands, and especially my fingers/finger dexterity. Should I be doing anything to avoid overuse?? I sprained a finger a few months back, and I had to wonder if it was from doing too much (playing guitar when injury happened).

Some days, in the evening usually I may have slight hand pain, which I feel is "natural" after working them all day. But should I worry about this as a sign of arthritis to come?
Can I be doing any stretches, taking any kind of pill for tendon health, a diet, etc.?

Thanks in advance, my hands appreciate it

I use a computer at work and at home. Lately I have noticed some soreness in the back of my hand (mouse!!!!) and up my forearm.
At 23 I don't think you need to worry too much about arthritis but should be concerned about tendonitis or carpal tunnel. If your hand/wrist is sore, rest and ice to help reduce swelling and inflammation.
