Surgery pain, issue with health care

I had surgery Friday to remove a plate and 9 screws from my wrist. It has been burning and stinging and still continues to be pretty painful. 2 days after surgery i started coughing up thick dark yellow mucus. As of today my surgical site still hurts/ burns, still coughing stuff up, the skin around my stitches is yellow, and i have felt very hot and sickly. My temp earlier was 99.5.
My nurse has been awful from the beginning. Prior to surgery I requested to be able to pick up my prescription the day before, and she acted like this was some big deal. Monday after surgery, I spoke with her concerning the pain, and she acted as if it was an inconvenience and said I should already be feeling better (3 days after surgery). I informed her that I spoke with an on call Dr Saturday due to pain, and he explained the prescription they gave me, at the dosage amount and time, wouldn't even do anything for me based off my weight. However, she told me i needed to go back down to one pain pill every 6 hours (10mg norco, one every 6 hours only 3 days after surgery. I explained I was coughing up dark yellow mucus and she simply said it's a cold, without even seeing me or anything (I was put under for surgery, and chest infections are common after that, but this was no concern to her)

My nurse has told me at this point I should absolutely have no pain. I wasn't aware that someone else gets to decide if you are in pain or not.
