Numbness a week after smashing finger?

Hey all! I'm sure this is common, but it's really concerning. About a week ago, I accidentally smashed my middle finger in the large freezer door at work. At first it was the usual throbbing pain, but as the days went by, the pad of my finger became numb or less sensitive to touch. But it's only that finger. The impact site is still pretty tender, but there's no discoloration and I have full range of motion. Like, I mentioned before, this is very concerning. Especially since I work in fast food and I'm always using a convection oven and can't afford to burn myself.

At min. I would get an xray at a clinic or have your gp look at it.
