    Question burning left arm pain

for a while I've been having a burning feeling in my left arm. I can move it all around and that doesn't cause more pain just notice the burning mostly when i'm not doing anything. Any one have any ideas of what it could be? haven't had any injury to it. not usually but sometime it can be in the right arm too.

    Re: burning left arm pain

Do you have any problems with your neck? Any clicking etc? How about your left shoulder? Is it tight or sore? My first guess would be nerve or spinal cord impingement secondary to osteoarthritis.

Another possibility is atherosclerosis. This can cause sharp burning pain as well. Often this is accompanied by tiredness/weak feeling in the limb and is more common in the legs.

If it persists a visit to your Dr may be in order. They can help you find the cause of your pain and/or recommend specialists if appropriate.

Good Luck and let us know how you get on...

    Re: burning left arm pain

thanks for your suggestion. but I don't feel anything else except the pain ( feels like burning) in that left forearm. Occasionally I might also notice it in the right. I mentioned it to my dr when I saw her in July and she had me moved my left arm all sorts of ways but it didn't cause pain when I moved it. Just the burning when I'm not. She didn't seem concerned I'll give it a few more months then check back with her if its not better
