Does anyone take Naproxen for OA? Does it help the pain?

Re: naproxen...does it help?

I don't have insurance (or a lot of money) so I am not on prescription medication for my moderate to severe RA. I couldn't have survived the last six months or so without Aleve (a Naproxen). They ease my pain and some of the inflammation.
Although at one point I was taking 6 to 8 per day and my normally low blood pressure became pretty high, so I've cut down to 2 or 3 per day. I'm having more pain than when I was taking several however. I read somewhere that people who take naproxen's regularly could have a 50% higher chance or heart attack or stroke (I guess it may be common to raise your blood pressure.
I'm trying to rely more on natural remedies such as Turmeric, etc., and mega doses of fish oil.
Good luck to you.
