Re: shoulder pain

You might have Frozen Shoulder, My doctor thinks that is what I have. They have no idea what is the reason you get it and tell me it may take a year to go away if I do home exercizes it will help get range of motion back. MRI and Xray were negative.Let me know if you find anything more hopeful.

Re: shoulder pain

I had shoulder pain five years ago after lifting a case of copy paper. I had inflammation of the bursa sac. Now last Sat. it develped again. I feel like I want to die. I cannot sleep to turnover in bed without severe pain. Look up bursa sac or bursistis. I have a dr. appt. today so I will see what they say. it is very painful Marla20

Re: shoulder pain

It might be a pinched nerve causing all that pain. I have arthritis and spondylitis in my neck and I was having problems lifting my arm up for a while and the doctor said maybe it was a pinched nerve.

Re: shoulder pain

I have similar pain in my left shoulder. Xrays showed mild osteoarthritis and a physical therapist and orthopedist also diagnosed shoulder instability (something about the joint) and bicep tendinitis. Had 2 rounds of physical therapy which help but sessions are limited by insurance so not really a long term solution.

Ice and ibuprofen help. I'm only 30 and I have to restrict my exercise and weights to things which don't require over head movement etc. Unfortunatlely I seem to sleep in positions that aggravate this condition..ugh.
