Re: understanding lab work,need help
Usually for any type of arthritis or autoimmune disorders, they check your sed ESR(sedementation rate-shows inflammation in the body), tsh (thyroid), antibodies against the thyroid (autoimmune response against the thyroid), RA factor (Rheumatoid Arthritis) and ANA (a test for Lupus).
That's all that comes to my mind at this moment but I'm beat today.
That looks like your complete blood count, even thou some of it is out of range, they are not drastically out of range TO ME, you could search on anemia, usually it causes less energy and tired alot etc, more iron in your diet will help this, but as ordered by your doctor if needed, I don't know what constitutes an 'anemia' diagnosis.
HCT is Percent of your blood that is occupied by red blood cells
MCH - Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin
Measures the amount of hemoglobin in red blood cells. Both hemoglobin and hematocrit are used to calculate this number. Low levels indicate anemia.
MCHC - Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration
Measures the amount of hemoglobin in red blood cells. Both HGB and HCT are used to calculate this number. Low level indicates anemia.
RDW - Red Cell Distribution Width
Measures the range of sizes of red blood cells in a blood sample. RDW results are often used together with MCV results to determine possible cause of anemia when anemia is indicated by other test results.
