Qvar vs Flovent

Recently my insurance doesn't want to cover Flovent anymore, which is what I have been using, and I have a choice of Qvar or Asmanex as alternatives.

First off, out of Qvar or Asmanex, is there any general preference among asthma people?

And what is the equivalent dosing for Qvar? My allergy nurse gave me a sample of Qvar yesterday, but had no clue as to equivalent dosing... she told me to call a pharmacist. Which I'll do, but wanted to check here if anyone knew of a dose equivalence website or something.

I previous was on Flovent HFA, 220mcg 2x daily. Would Qvar 80mcg 2x daily be equivalent?

Airport don't know about equivalents... I was on Qvar 100mcg 2x a day til my asthma got worse and it didn't work... while my asthma was good enough to be controlled by inhaled steroids it worked wonders!
