I can't take prednisolone. It worsens my stomach problems.. I hope to find an alternative way to control my attacks. Now reading about breathing techniques.

Why don't you have an inhaler? That's the standard treatment for asthma. And allergy shots for the allergies.

So......prednisolone is systemic. Are you not on any inhalers??? There are so many for specific needs.
    Please give more detailed info......

My asthma started when I was nine and within a few years I put a stop to it by reading and following instructions from my brother's college text book on psychology (no longer in print). But that only works if your asthma was initiated by a traumatic or stressful event.

I believe it's always better to deal with it by getting to the root cause, rather than continually covering up symptoms with medication.

Recently, inhalers don't help much. Under the supervision of my doctor, I have to undergo courses of system hormones...

I also had it when i was very young..It is not a good thing..and I never used inhaler until like I was 30. however, I use inhaler more often in winter time. In the average, i take like 2 times daily (mostly before sleep and if waking up from athma attack)

My suggestion is to take supplement to strength your immune system.
I am talking quercetin and bromelain now and let's see if it helps.

I didn't get anything out of it. I've know a few people who quit foods they had problems with and now don't have asthma - it was wheat and milk. Also didn't work for me.

I think you need to think about what triggers your symptoms. At home my symptoms are rare and I use a high quality air purifier. Outside perfume, and paint bother me, sometimes car fumes.

I take zyrtec and monteluklast which is super helpful. I've found nasal steroids work better than an inhaler for fragrance problem (per titchou).
