Question Advair and oral lichen planus?

    Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anybody has heard anything about the two being related? I have what looks to be oral thrush, which would make sense because I know that advair can cause that but my dentist insists that it is lichen planus. I have tried a few prescriptions for this and nothing works AT ALL, except for a prescription mouthwash (I can't remember what it's called--but I believe it is actually for gingivitis). However using the mouthwash only helps the condition very temporarily. Does anybody have any suggestions? I am wanting to get off my advair and onto something that will help my asthma like advair does, so I can see if this lichen planus will go away--does anyone know of any other asthma med that I might be able to take?? I plan to go to my gp, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to get there. I'm quite concerned about this, as I've had the condition for about 3 years or so, and I guess am just now getting really fed up with it.
