I just read an older thread about this issue and had no clue that my asthma meds could be causing all the horrific cramping I've endured for almost ten years. Doctors don't tell you about these things. I've been to many different doctors about the cramping, and not one of them had a clue nor an educated guess as to what might be causing it. One of them told me to use Ionic Fizz Magnesium Plus, which I have been now for about 2 1/2 years. It is getting so expensive and I can no longer afford it and don't know what to replace it with. It does help somewhat - my cramping is a bit less severe. I also try to eat a banana every day and sleep with a bar of Dove soap between my sheets.

Re: Asthma inhalers and leg (foot, hand) cramps
Asthma meds can leech potassium out of your system causing cramps. I'd try eating more bananas or finding other potassium rich foods like beets, potatoes, tomatoes, lima beans, raisins, etc to eat more of.
