Reading upside down

During our speech therapy session this morning we accidentally discovered my son's blessing in disguise!
My son has PDD Autism & has always struggled with learning.
Every session he begins by reading a level 1 book, today my son was struggling with a word & we helped him say it by reading it upside down to him. He was amazed that we could do that, & he wanted to see if he could also.
What happened next was just mind blowing!! My son read the book upside down without needing help at all!
He read 2 level 1 books without needing our help, & we wanted to test the theory if he was just remembering the story or not.
I asked him to read a level 2 book that he's never seen, or tried to read before "upside down".
To our amazement my son sounded out the words better, & read it, some words he turned the book around to see it at both angles to read it.
We are truly blessed on this day! We were taught how to understand his views on things in his world in order to help him reach goals about anything in his future!

I hope that our testimony will give others encouragement to try things differently! You never know until you try.
May God guide us through our journey's in life to show us who we're meant to be, & to help others in their needs.
