    Question SCL-70 Positive

Hello, I've been down the rheumatology road before. First I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia/myofascial pain syndrome (I kind of felt like this diagnosis was given to me just to identify me with something), then I was told I had UCTD and finally it was thought it was early Sjogren's. Due to the frustration and confusion of it all, I stopped seeing all specialists a couple of years ago.

But I continue to have diffuse pain and some other symptoms so I talked to my newer family doctor at a recent appointment and we discussed my past history (he felt that I do not have fibro). He wanted to do an antibody profile, rheumatoid factor and sed rate that day and then have me come back a week later when I was fasting to do a general comp panel and I'd follow-up with him a couple weeks later. Got a call from his office that ANA is positive (it always is), CRP is elevated and SCL-70 is positive, but everything else tested normal and the GP wants to skip the follow-up with him and have me go straight to a rheumatologist.

I don't know anything about SCL-70 so I looked online about how it's specific for scleroderma, but does anybody know if it really means anything for sure or can it be a marker for a different autoimmune disease/issue? Thanks.
