Re: Hashimoto Disease High Cholesterol
Hello
I had high cholesterol all my life, all the women in my family had it too. When I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis I followed the Autoimmune Paleo Protocol which eliminates seemingly “healthy” foods. - all grain, legumes, dairy and some others - just for a period whilst the gut heals.
High cholesterol is due to inflammation, so is autoimmune disease...so when I healed my gut, lowered my hashi markers and inflammation, my cholesterol went into the normal range for the first time in my life (I am 50).
Seemed to go against conventional wisdom - we eat fish, meat, organ meat, veggies and fruit - but it worked and I witness it now working for others.
