Becky, glad to hear from you!!

You can be grateful for the colder weather for one reason anyway, if it freezes, then it dries quicker, and soaks into the ground alot faster. Sounds like quite the mess you've got still.

Sorry to hear you and your son are so sick still. Maybe you have a touch of strep also. If it's just a virus thing they can't do much for you. Pneumonia is not anything to mess with either, sometimes you can develope double pneumonia, that would not be good at all..!!!!!! Good thing you had your heater fixed, 30 is pretty chilly with the kind of moisture your having. I'll take awhile for all that rain to soak in without freezing temps. So be greatful anytime it's below 32 degrees.

Looks like you wrote back pretty late at night...can't sleep again or just going to bed late? I hate when I wake up all night, then have to get up early to get my daughter off to school so early, she has to catch the bus by 7:25am. And be out the door by 7:20.

It's looking like most of my family won't be able to make it for my son's wedding, that's a sore spot there. The church is going to look pretty lopsided, hardly any on our side, while her side will probably be packed. ....oh, well there is nothing I can do about it though. I just hope it doesn't snow like crazy. That would be a disaster!!!

I've finished doing the faux finishing on my living room walls, I did two, the color of apricot, with a burnt sienna glaze over the top. Then took a plastic grocery bag and turned it inside out, this I used to bag off the glaze after brushing it on. It's really pretty. Looks like marble. I did the rest of the walls in the same color as the ceiling, museum white, or light taupe. What a difference!!! I also finished painting the bathroom. Very fresh looking, light green.

Today I'll have to give my mom a call and see if she's in need of anything.(she won't be going to the wedding either, too far she say's, it's a 3and1/2 hr drive, I don't think thats too far, but what can I do about that?) I also have to meet with my father in law to pick up the freezer we bought for the my son and fiance, we will bring it to her moms place this weekend so we don't have to do that the day of the wedding. I bought some shoes for my daughter yesterday, they hurt her toes though. So I guess I get to exchange them today also.

It's about the same temp. here during the day as it gets there at night. Yesterday we had 40mile an hour gusts!!!! brrrr. That was nipplie.lol.
I've been trying to get the wood stove going all morning, the darn thing just keeps going out.

I just heard a gun shot....sounded pretty close to the house, I always worry when my daughter walks to the end of the drive way to catch the bus, at least her favorite coat is kind of orange, she said I will sing really loud, maybe they will hear me and realize not to shoot in that direction. They are not suppose to anyway, they are suppose to aim only at there own property line, but some of these hunters are pretty young.
I just hold my breath every day till she gets on the bus!!!!!

My hubby said that the number of registered deer hunters are down this year....I wonder if it's because of the CWD (chronic wasting disease).

Well, I'm off to go pay the balance on the freezer, and exchange those shoes. Wish me luck on the shoe thing, I'll need it I think.lol.

I'm glad you are going to the doctor finally, good for your hubby putting his foot down there!!!!! You have to get your health back to care for your family, where would they be without you, right? Take care, let me know how it goes with everything. Diana

Hi Diana, Sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you. Sorry to hear alot of your family won't make it to the wedding.

I wish you luck on getting another pair of shoes.(lol)
Getting another pair just like the ones you got are always hard to get. Seems like they never have them at that time.

I would be a nervous wreck, if my kids were waiting for the bus and I heard a gun shot, I don't think people should be out there shooting during the times of the bus pick up. That is really dangerous.

Yes, I'm always up late, I dred going to bed because I never fall straight too sleep, it takes 2-3 hours before I finally fall asleep. It's 10:00 p.m. and I'm still wide awake.

I will be going to the doctor tomorrow, My boil came back and I think it has cellulitis, I'm also going for my throat and I figure since I'm there I might as well get a pap. I hadn't had a pap since my 5 year old was born. I've been spotting today, I shouldn't have my monthly visiter for 2-3 weeks now.
I'll let you know how everything goes.

I took my son to the doctor and even the doctor thought he had strep, come to find out it's a sinus infection. He couldn't go to school today, I guess he won't be getting a perfect attendence this year.

The news said they finally think the wnv is finally over. yeahhhhh. One less thing for me to worry about.

I bet your walls look wonderful, I guess you've been really busy. Keep up the good work.

My husband picked up a new contract today, We did 3 yards today. I got my exercise for today.

Well I'm going to try and get some sleep, I have to get up early so I can finally get my butt to the doctor. Wish me luck!!! Becky

Becky, that cellulitis is very scary stuff, my mom had that when she lived with me. She is diabetic and it took almost a year for it to heal up, she got it in her big toe. They had to take the nail off completely, and cut down to where the infection was. Gosh I hope you don't have THAT..!!!!!!!

Do you ever try to take a bath before bed time, this helps me when I'm too wide awake at night and need my rest. Or camimile (sp?) tea helps too. Or sleepy time tea from the grocery store is good. Plus the bath. Also if you eat a cracker or two, then take Magnesium citrate 200mgs. this will help the muscles relax good. You can do the Mag. with the tea and bath. Hopefully this will help.

My daughter doesn't have school the rest of the week they have conferences going on, I went to hers last night, very good report, the teachers wished they had a whole class room full of students just like her. All A's even in pre algebra.
Her Language arts teacher said in the jounals they have to write that my daughter wrote about our shopping escapade. lol. She enjoyed the report.

Yesterday I was able to return the shoes that didn't fit my daughter, well I went to 3 other stores where I thought they might have something.....there is nothing that will fit at all. So I went to Goodwill and they had a sale on shoes, buy one pair get the second pair free, I got one pair of white pumps and a pair of light tan shoes with just a little heel on them. I brought them home and use nail polish remover on the white pumps first, just enough to see the white paint come off on the cotton pad. Now today I'm going to use silver nail polish on them. I figure if I do 1/2 inch squares, each square going a diff. direction, it should look solid when I'm done. (this way I can shake the bottle of polish often without making it look funny) Hopefully it will work. I met a crafty person while at the goodwill store. She was going to try and spray paint a fake fur coat for a parade, she wanted it to look like cotton candy. She asked me....: do you think this would look like cotton candy if I spay painted this coat pink....I said why would you want to look like that? She told me about the parade she was working on.
I said: well if it was me I would go across the street to the Ben Franklin store and buy a swatch of fake fur to practice on first. Then I told her what I planned on doing with the shoes, and maybe she could sponge pait a little nail polish on the tips of the fur after spraying it. Something pink with glitter! She's like, cool, thanks for the ideas. So she did go and get a sample of the fur and had goodwill save the coat for her till she could see if it would work. The coat was 30 dollars, wouldn't want to make a mistake and ruin it without trying something first. Right?

For the wedding I'm the mother of the groom and I'm not suppose to upstage the mother of the bride. The only dress that even looked close is pretty fancy on the top. So I've been searching for a sheer cover up shirt to wear over the glittery top. I don't want a scarf shawl at all. They look so promish. I'd wear one to a fancy dinner, but not this. I need to play down the sparkles, at least for the wedding, at the dance/reception I can remove it. Well....I found this shirt that will work....but it's really downplaying the top. I talked to a lady yesterday at a dress shop. She does wedding/bridesmaid/prom type dresses.....she said she sews beads on a plainer outfit to make it fancy. Well I thought....I CAN DO THAT...what a light bulb moment...lol. The necklace has beads in it. So I'll have to figure it out with that on. I can only hope.

I hope for you that the doc. can at least help you. I think you should read up on adrenal glands and see what you find. I don't know why I keep thinking about that but my brain keeps saying this girls adrenal glands could use some support!!!!!
That's always a good plan anyway.
If you decide to do a search on the adrenal glands, a nutrient called MACA, pronounced maw caw, is suppose to suppose to support many gland type organs in the body. If one of your glands doesn't need it----it flushes though to the organ that does. It makes sense to keep at it so the body has enough on a constant basis. I started out taking one a day early, 30min. before food and close to the same time daily.

I'll give you a hint on how to stick to doing something like this, (if you ordinarally don't do good things for yourself, or are not good with a healthy diet regime)you "WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN" it works seriously, I keep a small daily note book and do a chart of all the things I need to do everyday, then check them off. Start out small.

For water I write the number 3. I use a 3cup container, when I finish that I check it off. then before I write in another 3c. I refill the container.

I have a wrist watch with a timer on it. It's digital, I can't wear a face watch.(they always screw up then stop on me. weird I know)
At the same time every morn. I take my throid pill, my maca, and a gtf (which means, glucose tolerance factor) chromium, the GTF Chromium is the secret to keeping toxic metals from staying in the body, like aluminums which we get way too much of these days, and it also support your ability to process sugars and all carbohydrates properly.
Do this at least 30min.before eating, flushed with at least 2cups of water.(I do three cups then take the min.seasalt.)

Heres a sample of my chart.
    Maybe this will inspire you.

#1.)I Drink 9 glasses of water a day.

(after you are tolerating that much water daily, and getting rid of that much too!) ....then:
write down that #3c. and check it off as the day goes on.

#2.)I take 1/4teas. of a high based natural mineral salt 2 times a day.

(a little more if I end up drinking more than 9 glasses of water that day, which is usually the case now that I'm used to it.)

    #3.)After eating I take a Daily Vit.
    once a day.
#4.)when I took my pills in the morning.
#5.)fiber powder (am. empty stomach too.)
#6.)hormone cream. am and pm.and what time.

Any type of hormone should be taken about the same time daily, this is true for thyroid med. ..that is a hormome gland. Maca supports the thyroid function also.

Have I talked your ear off enough yet!!!!!!!..lol.

Well I just want to wish you one big chunck of luck coming your way... ((((('İİİİ')))))there.........
I hope this helps with your doctor visit, and with the health of your family. Congrats on getting that new contract....tell your hubby I said hurray for getting you all to the DOCTOR at least to have a check up http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/bang.gif

Here is a little something I thought was neat.

Read Each One Carefully and Think About It a Second or Two
    1. I love you not because of who you are, but because of who I am when I am with you.
    2. No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, won't make you cry.
    3. Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
    4. A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
    5. The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can't have them.
    6. Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.
    7. To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
    8. Don't waste your time on a man/woman, who isn't willing to waste their time on you.
    9. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.
10.. Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened.
    11. There's always going to be people that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around.
    12. Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you.
    13. Don't try so hard, the best things come when you least expect them to.
REMEMBER: WHATEVER HAPPENS, HAPPENS FOR A REASON.

Happy trails to you until we read again---------Diana

Hi Diana, It sounds like you really have some good ideas about your dress. You know, I never knew a grooms mom had to be underdressed from the brides mom. Well, it's good to know since, I have a son and 3 daughters even though I still have a while, thank goodness (LOL)

That is a really good idea about the shoes, let me know how they turn out.

My mother-in-law sent me that poem, very true Isn't it?
My in-laws are coming over tomorrow, everytime they do, we end up playing cards. It's really fun. I'm so glad I get along with them, you hear so many horror stories about in laws.

I'm going to find this poem I had, someone had written it that had H.S., when I read it, I was in tears. It sounded just like me - to the tee. It seemed like someone had written it about me.
The H.S. support group has been so wonderful, before I found that group, I honestly thought I was the only person in the world with this disease, before I knew it was a disease.

Every person who joins that group always says "they thought they the only person with this disease". Although I feel terrible that they have it, I'm glad I'm not the only person with it. It is so frustrating, and so many of the people in the group have it worst than I do.

I think I'm in stage 2, studies say stage 3 has no chance for a cure.

Well I went to the doctor yesterday, what a waste of time. I went in and told the nurse about my sore throat and chest pain and told her about the boils. I told her I really needed the boils looked at because they were infected. She even wrote down about the break through bleeding I had a couple of days ago.

The doctor comes in, He listens to my chest and looks in my throat and tells me " my throat is infected and it sounds like fluid in my chest" Then he says" I think you have a cold" What kind of c*** is that?
He gave me a prescription of nasalnex(msp) then sent me on my way!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all, shouldn't they have given me an x-ray? I don't know what to think about having fluid in my lungs. Isn't that a sign of pneumonia? Now I have to go else where for another appointment, and second of all I didn't get a prescription of antibiotics for my throat since that is suposed to be infected and third of all He didn't even look at my boils. I was really upset, I figured why mention it to him, he problably doesn't know what he's doing anyway, much less know anything about H.S. right?

My husband told me know matter what he has to do, He will get money for me to see a specialist, even if he has to work 2-3 jobs and even if we have to go out of state to see a specialist. I thought that was so sweet. The nurse at the clinic said she hadn't even heard of H.S.

I was really upset when I left the clinic, I cried all the way home. So needless to say, I'm back at square one. I wish there was a cure for this disease!!!!!!

I will look up adrenal gland disorders, I do know some studies say that H.S. is caused from sweat gland disorders and others say it is an autoimmune disease. Noone knows for sure what causes it.

Anyway, how is your rash? Did it go away yet?

I finally bathed my dogs!!!!!!!!!!!! Now they smell so nice. Opps I'll be back. I have to get my dogs in, it's raining....... OK I'm back. It took me a few minutes because Melody loves playing in water!!!! I couldn't get her inside. Like I really need to be out in the rain in 40 degree weather right now!!

Well they said on the news that west nile virus seems to be over but not to let our gaurd down just yet. Keep your fingers crossed.
We also heard about a man who was a bus driver in our city that was arrested for child molestation and guess what? Come to find out that he lives 4 houses down from us. Great!!!!! At least my kids don't ride his bus and they only go outside when I do.

I'm going to try that night time tea you were talking, I see it in the stores all the time and wondered if they helped.
It's funny I always fall asleep in the tub, I can sleep for an hour easily.
Have I talked your head off enough? (lol) As soon as I find that poem, I'll send it to you.

I'm going to bed, this time I think I can sleep good. I helped my husband with that yard today and it was such a mess, it took us 5 hours to pull weeds and do the lawn.

    Have a good night. Becky

Hi Diana, I hope this goes through too. I wrote a message on the acne board about H.S. but it didn't show up either. I haven't found that poem yet about H.S. I have been looking for it on all the H.S. groups.

I'm going to apply for a job at a vet tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed. Donalds jobs are slowing down now since it's getting colder.

It was 32 degrees a few nights ago. We had to bring in all my plants and animals.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Were going to my parents house. We usually go camping but my mom didn't get it in time this year. My kids aren't too happy but at least were going to see my parents.

How has the weather been treating you? We have been rain free for 4 or 5 days now!!!! yay!!

Well I'm going to go for now in case this doesn't take.

Hi Becky, we leave Friday morning, and don't come back till Sunday eve. Today I had to wash the dog again, the girl that is going to watch him is allergic to dander, I give him an apple cider vinegar bath, takes all the greasy dander off the fur.
I had to color my hair today too. Way grey there!! Tomorrow I'll be making the fruit salads I'm taking with. We are doing the rehersal dinner. We will just put everything in big rubbermaid tubs fill with ice for the drive. So far the weather sounds good. Thank goodness!!!!! My mind is in a whirl with all the details, I'll be glad when I can relax at the reception, that should be a blast. Too bad I got this rotten cold this weekend. I can't take any cold med. either. I used to buy this tea for coughs at the groc. store, I found out yesterday they discontinued it. Great!!!!

I asked my Mother if I could use the steamer for the dressess at the wedding, at least with that we can just hang them and steam away, hopefully it works good. I'll have to try it at home first. I'd hate to have to be ironing those dresses at the church or hotel. My sister is suppose to drop it off with me today, my hubby starter went out of his truck, so I have no wheels right now, great timing, huh? LOL

The new daughter in-law to be is the nervous one, I think my son is still pretty good yet. But she's kind of freaking out.lol

I sure hope this post go through, I wonder if they were having trouble with the boards recently.

My itchy rash has gotten better, I had to stop taking my hormone cream for awhile, I guess it builds up in the system and needs a rest on occasion. I was getting one hot flash after another. Yuck, then the itching rash. Now I get this cold, oh, for fun, but it's not going to stop me from having a great time at the wedding!!!!! Take care, glad to here you are doing better these days, write me when you can. Hope you get the job. Diana

    Hey,Becky, thanks for the note.

The wedding was so pretty, it was a candle light service, my first roll of film didn't rewind though, and that really bummed me out. What a time for that to happen!!! I asked the guy at the counter when I got my pictures developed and he said sometimes there is a small kink in the film and this will happen.

There was some kind of stomach illness going on too. One of the groomsmen was sick, then into the evening my son started to feel queezy, but took some rolaids, along with a few other stomach aids and started feeling a little better.
When they went on their honeymoon, they both felt kind of sick, so they didn't drive as far as they had planned, now the bride has a nasty cold. Oh, for fun!!! Not!! But all in all, it was beautiful, and the dance was a blast.

Her mother must of worked her tail off to get every done. The decoration were so nice everywhere. The church was a really old one with the really pretty windows.

My cold is a lot better, I just have that gurgley cough yet, at least I don't have the aches and stuffy nose anymore. I did put my back out at the beginning of the cold though, when I was sneezing I'm sure. I need to make a chiro appoint. sometime soon.

So now I'm doing the christmas shopping thing. Bought some things yesterday, and picked up the wedding pictures, there was a few really good ones. I'll be sending those out to family members as their x-mas card.

Looks like you've had some more bad weather your way?? Is it ever going to stop?? Did you get a job yet?? How are you and yours doing these days?
Love to hear from you when you get the chance. I'm glad they made us a second page, it sure pulls up faster.
    Talk to ya later, Diana

Hi Diana, I'm glad you had a great time at the wedding, but sorry to hear about the stomach bug and your film. I bet your son and his wife aren't to happy about being sick.

I haven't heard anything on the job, I guess you have to be experienced. I've had pets all my life and had to clean up after them.

Today was a nice day, we went to a birthday party for our friends little boy, then went to my parents' house. They took us out to eat for my birthday.

Weather here has been really cold. It's been in the low 30's - high 20's. Thats really cold for us.
There is alot of people getting sick with the flu.
The kids doctor office had alot of sick kids in there the other day.

I'm glad to see ya'll made it back and glad you had a great time.

I'm going to volunteer in my daughters class tomorrow, I usually go on wednesdays but with Christmas, the teacher has been needing alot help with things they are making for their parents.

I'll talk to you soon. Becky

Hi Becky nice to hear from you again. I've heard wisconsin has seen a few cases of the chronic wasting disease. I hope it doesn't travel farther north than that!!!

We've been having weather in the 40's it is suppose to last 10days. So far it's been like this for 3 or 4. So we're warmer than you are!!! Weird or what???!!!!

I threw my back out so I had to have that adjusted on Monday, lucky for me there were cancelations that day, although I did do the vacuuming the day before yesterday and it's kind of sore again...hmmm wasn't very smart of me was it.

I did have some pictures that turned out nice. Thank goodness!!!! But I wish I had that first roll, those would of been awsome!

My son and his wife want to purchase a living room set with the wedding money, I guess her mom doesn't think that's a neccessity at all, and has been argueing with her about it, I told my son, don't say anything bad about you mother in-law to your new wife, I garranty it will not go over well at all. Just be supportive of you wife, that's all you can do. Then do what you want to. If you want funiture, then go get it. With or without her input. The mother in-law is just putting herself into a position of being left out in the cold if she continues to interfere in there decitions. She'll end up with the short end of the stick if she doesn't back off. That's my opinion any way. I've been posting long letters to family members all day and the carpal tunnel is kicking in. I need to rest the wrist for a while, so I'll sign off. Hope you hear about that job, maybe if you keep going in and applying, that usually make an impact with the owners. Talk to ya again later, Diana

Hi Diana, Sorry to hear about your back and wrist, I hope you start feeling better soon. Try not to over do your self. I know, It's easier said than done.

It's raining here again, another cold front coming through tonight. The news said it's going to stay cold for a while. We are under wind warnings, 30 -40 and gusting to 60 at times. It should end sometime tonight.
That is weird that were colder than ya'll.

I hope your sons in-laws don't interfere too much or like you said, they'll be out in the cold. I don't have to worry about that with mine.

My husband got a job today. He'll start tomorrow. He's going to be a supervisor for an Irrigation company. He'll be making pretty good money then. I'm glad I didn't get that job, because I didn't think about what I'd do with my kids when they are out for the holidays!!!!!!! They're still too young to be left alone. I can't afford 800.00 dollars for the 2 weeks they are out of school.

I hope the waste disease doesn't go more north either. That would be really bad.
A friend of mine's dad died last week of a staph infection. It got into his blood stream.
Some people I talk to on the Hidradenitis suppurativa group have had blood infections from this disease, It's really scary. He didn't have H.S. but he had a couple of sores on his arm.
These people on this group are always telling me I need to see a doctor about these boils I get because they are always infected. Like I told them, It hasn't killed me yet, but now I'm going to be more careful. If it looks really bad, I will go to the E.R.

Well I'm going to go, I'll write again soon. Becky
