Yes.. I know what you mean, things pop up or get worse. Like today my lower stomach feels so bloated and sore! And I wish you luck on your appointments! I have a regular appointment Monday as well, which I'm sure he will say, do some stretches or take anti-inflammatory.. Something like that lol. I try not to worry but this is scary. I'm learning to just take it day by day and enjoy life. I've got three little boys under 5 years old and a 5 month old. Lets keep in touch and update. We will get to the bottom of this have a great day.

Ive been having blood on the tp the past 3 days :/ ive had blood before on and off as well. i wonder if it could be celiac or something else.I hope this doctor will actually do something this time and not dismiss me yet again. Good luck to you and hope we can find out today maybe lol

    Re: Odd symptoms

So my doctors apt went ok I guess. He said I have very loose joints. Told him about the spasming and he said my left eye was slower. But I know it's been like that for a while now. My stool test came out normal. Which is shocking since I'm having so much stomach issues ;/ still have cramping too. He told me to write in a journal of all these symptoms and when it happens. Hope your appointment went way better than mines lol

Not really lol......I do however have another painful UTI....I had blood in my urine so I have to go for a CT scan to check for Kidney stones on top of all this other mess!! That was all that was really covered at mt GP's apt......The ENT put a scope up my nose and down my throat and looked at my vocal cords....he said I had a lot of flem (gross I know) around them....I go hoarse a lot from Gerd and LPR (acid reflux) so he is sending me off to see another Dr as well so see why we cant get this acid under control :/ my mouth felt batter today...that made me happy To bad my Bladder is on fire......Keep me up dated, I wondered about ya today....hoped you had better luck!

    Re: Odd symptoms

Well at least they know what is wrong with you lol. But im hoping you feel better. I had a scope as well and they said I had a bunch of mucus too lol. I feel post nasal drip a lot lately. I have another ent apt coming up next week. Have you tried Prilosec? That's what they want me to try... Also, the weirdest thing happened to me today. I ha a vibrating sensation in my left calf, I went to look at it and under my foot was spasming! The doctor told me to keep a journal so he can see everything going on. It is pretty freaky. Seems like today I've been getting a lot of weird spasming and vibrating feelings in my limbs and also pins and needles feeling.. I hope there's someone out there who has gone through something as we have.. Hope you start feeling better keep me updated

    Re: Odd symptoms

Sorry I know I'm always on this.. This is just so helpful for me. I was wondering what you guys thought about how my doctor is handling things. Last month I gave him a list of all my symptoms. Just yesterday he tells me to keep a journal of when my symptoms are happening. I gave him a pretty large list of everything happening and most of my symptoms do not go away like my tongue feeling big and having difficulty pronouncing "th" even slurring my speech. Muscle spasms are e everyday, change in voice.. My voice hasn't been the same, constipation every morning, right leg and foot is always stiff.. The list goes on lol. What would be the best way to write a journal for my symptoms? I want it to be pretty plain and easy so that my doctor can understand easily.

    Wondering,
I would highly recommend you get a written copy of all labs you have had thus far, and check them off against the list I suggested awhile back. Look for any abnormals flagged as hi or lo. Then make a list of all the tests I suggested, and Vee's as well, and hand it to your Dr., asking him if he would check these things. It might spark some thinking on his part and he may at least check some of them, which would be helpful. A large tongue often happens in underactive thyroid disease and amyloidosis, rare but a consideration. Have you considered going somewhere like your local university clinic or Mayo clinic? I would consider that if you can't get help locally.

Thank you for your reply! I will get those labs and I know they checked my thyroid in January and said it was normal along with the other blood test for vitamin deficiency which I have for vit D. Should they do thyroid again? And now that I am writing this journal I am going to print out your suggestions with vee and show them to him. I only get referrals as to where I can be seen for speacialists :/ otherwise it comes out of our own pocket :/ also, how long should I keep this journal before making an appointment I show him my journal, labs, etc.? And my ent is having lab work done as well, and he says if it turns out normal they will have a ct scan done of my neck. But for now they said to try Prilosec. Thank you again for your advice I do appreciate it

    Re: Odd symptoms

There are 2 important tests for the thyroid, the hormone component and the anti-thyroid antibodies. Many Drs check only the hormones and not the antibodies. So that needs clarified, what you had done and what the results were. Usually 2 weeks of journaling is sufficient if symptoms are present most days. I like to rate my pain and fatigue separately on a 1-10 scale like P-8, F7 each day. I hope your Dr is receptive to our ideas.

Yes I think he only checked the hormones for the thyroid. and I'm really hoping my doctor will be receptive as well. I think 2 weeks sounds good as well since next week I see my ent doctor about my tongue and voice. Ill be updated you guys soon. thank you.

    Re: Odd symptoms

Hi Wondering, Just checking on ya. Nope I think the more test the better they can rule out different things. How are you feeling? They really don't know whats going on with me.....I feel like I just keep going from Dr. to Dr.! My mouth is just making me nuts!! They could maybe a couple of different things causing it....I have a Cyst in my neck....my GP wants it biopsied (Really has me scared) thinking that maybe the surrounding tissue is reacting to it...it has a hard spot in it....problem is I cant find a doc who will Biopsy it (My GP is not a provider with my insurance so she cant refer me) or its my acid reflux/lpr causing the mouth issues. Under my tongue is soooooooo swollen and its like if I stick my tongue out the root of it aches....my tongue is sore...it burns and the edges of it look scalloped....the inside of my cheeps are swollen and sore...if I blow my cheeks up they ache where they meet my jaw if that makes sense. I also they want me to see a urologist/ kidney doc.....hoping its just kidney stones...I feel like I have a constant bladder infection but they have sent it off 3 times...no bacteria but it does have blood in it I am tired of feeling yucky all the time....its been going on sense last July so almost a year of this.....On top of all this I have lots of Autoimmune symptoms......weigh loss (65 lbs without trying) hair loss....rib pain....muscle spasms/twitches......achy joints, hips, hands.....floating objects in vision.....dark patches on skin and gums.....dry skin.....Fun fun....I just turned 37 and have always been healthy and happy now I have anxiety and feel down...hope you are better

    Re: Odd symptoms

Hi checkers10! I've been ok. I don't know I almost feel like things are just slowly getting worse. And everyone thinks Its all anxiety, which irritates me. I feel like I'm slurring my speech still I can't pronounce "th" very well but everyone else says its fine. Lol. My tongue is always feeling huge and scalloped as well. I'm usually happy and outgoing. I'm trying to stay positive but it is hard. I'm 26 and most people my age are out having fun. I do have 3 kids to take care of and a husband so I try to stay positive.i feel like as time goes on something new pops up and I got another symptom lol. I have an ent appointment this Tuesday and I'm hoping everything goes well and will keep ya updated. I also have a lump under my jawline area. Do you have problems with your speech?
