    Re: Odd symptoms

Thank you! This is what I needed.. an explanation. Well I called the neurologist and the nurse said they want me to go to a rehab place for the emg. If it doesn't come out clean then should I be worried about als or should I just drop the whole als paranoia? Ugh. Sorry I know I probably annoy people with that too. I just hope I will get to see the doctor as soon as I get there. But I know It may take long to get in. Thanks for listening

The EMG can pick up all sorts of things, and I really don't think you have to worry about ALS. If it comes back abnormal in any way, question the Dr about the results until you are satisfied you understand everything.

Thank you! I'm going to do that. Think I will go and call my insurance and see if I can start making an appointment now to get things done early. Thank you ladybud.

Ladybud do you know what could be going on with this toe spacing? I know it's weird... my fingers too but my fingers are more like there's no space between middle and ring :/

The toe thing I know quite well. My toes started getting spaces between them, then started pointing inward toward my big toe. It is caused by inflammation in the joints, ligaments get lax and stretch in ways they should not. Mine is caused probably by my RA. I would be sure to wear good supportive shoes that hug the ball of foot area snugly side to side. That support will hopefully prevent the ligaments from stretching too much. I'm glad your MG test was negative! You might find a gluten free diet helps more than just your stomach over a longer period of time. Gluten intolerance seems linked to autoimmune diseases like lupus. Good luck with your move, and sorry you ran into problems with the communication about available specialists. An important consideration!
