    Unhappy Is it my imagination?

To make this story short.... VERY short, I was in therapy and the therapist was massaging and cracking my back. He couldn't get my upper back to crack so he pressed hard, forcing it, and it popped... loud. This was in July. After seeing doctors for pain, I finally went for a bone scan in December.

I was able to do almost anything before that occurred, now I have a hard time doing anything due to constant pain. The pain increases throughout the day in the center of my back, below the neck If I am active. The doctors claim there is nothing wrong with me but I'm still in pain. Is it just my imagination after 7 months? I'm looking for a truly unbiased opinion. The bone scans show some 'hot spots' where the event occurred. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Thanks for any help. I could use it!

    Re: Is it my imagination?

What type of "therapist" was this and why was he cracking your back to begin with?

Why was a bone scan done rather than X-ray or MRI?

Sounds like maybe you got a little bit of flesh/something else jammed into the joint, IMO. That's not going to show in a scan. And I'm not entirely sure what would need to be done in order to fix it.

Good question. He was appointed to me.

I've had an Xray done and a couple MRI's done. I wanted to talk about the the bone scan some more with the doctor because in his notes he wrote, "Ordered c spine [MRI] with contrast, reason abnormal bonescan @ c7". At that point he threw the papers in my face and released me from his care...The doctor claims to see nothing wrong.

Thanks for taking the time to write, guys... I'm just looking for help and support and it seems no one wants to talk about it.

I've got no one else to talk to, so I'm grateful to have found this forum.

    xoxo

What did the MRI report indicate? Request a copy of it if you do not have it.
