C3-C4, annular disc tear,T6-T7, T7-T8 disc bulges and indenting thecal sac.

    Hello E1,

I Googled left chest burning & armpit pain and found a very informative thread on this Healthboard and seen that many people out there are experiencing the exact same strange symptoms that I have had since 04/06/15 and still suffer from to this day. I hope & prey that we all find some type of relief, useful informative information and mutual support knowing that you are not alone.

I am 45 yrs old & 2 yrs post successful ACDF (Anterior Cervical Disc Fusion) for discs C4-5 & C5-C6. MRI C-spine w/contrast on 05/26/16 shows C3-C4 central disc protrusion and annular disc tear with disc approaching the spinal cord. Broad disc bulging and mild end plate spurring are superimposed. MRI T-spine w/wo contrast on 05/26/16 shows T6-T7 has a mild central disc bulge. T7-T8 has a left sided disc bulge indenting the thecal sac and approaching the spinal cord. Straightened thoracic kyphosis suggests muscle spasm or sprain.

I have been experiencing left upper chest burning, under left armpit pain, upper left back and mid back pain & burning for a little over 2 yrs now with not much relief. Also upon rising in the morning my heart rate will sky rocket from 59 BPM to 146 BPM. I did like anyone would do these days and googled it and I came up with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia) it made me fee awful!! I would get weak and start sweating but the instant I sit down it goes away and my heart rate immediately returns to normal. I scheduled appt. w/PCP and he gave me low dose BP beta blocker meds. that does help with the racing heart. Went to Neurosurgeon in June 2016 and he sent me to Neurologist to get a NCS done but I have not gone. I was given Tramadol & Tizanidine muscle relaxer that did not help just made me very sleepy. Was referred to Pain Mgmt. Dr. and he immediately wanted to do Facet injections into my spine & I am scared of them and from reading all the posts they don't work for long and are super expensive. 15 mg of Meloxicam NSAID per day does give mild relief but kills the stomach. Chiro & Massage therapy also give some relief.

Has anyone found any good long lasting relief or have any other suggestions? I want to hold off on surgery for C3-C4 as long as possible because it is a major surgery and have the possibility of the listed complications below.
*Muscle weakness or paralysis in the trunk, arms or legs.
*Loss of feeling in the trunk, arms, or legs.
    *Muscle spasticity.
    *Breathing problems.
*Problems with heart rate and blood pressure.
    *Digestive problems.
*Loss of bowel and bladder function.

Thank you for any and all support & suggestions,
    Fellow back pain sufferer
