    Unhappy PAIN in Shoulders from neck that switches side

    I have pain in my left shoulder joint with stiffness for 4 months. I have also acute pain from neck joint to left shoulder blade and shoulder which does not occurs all the times but comes sometimes specially afternoon and it spreads to all over left shoulder blade an left shoulder.But problem is when I take nsaid like naproxen, aceclofenac or sulindac pain reduces in left side and causes pain in right side which includes right shoulder and blade ...my xray of cervical spine and left shoulder joint are ok ...should I ask for an mri to my neorologist or should I discontinue nsaid??

    Dear persian,

    I can't tell you what to take for pain, but I suggest that you ask for physical therapy or else start swimming for exercise. That can relieve a lot of physical discomfort.
