    Masses of Connective Tissue

I found two masses on my spine a month ago and after an MRI, ultrasound and CT the doctors have determined them to be masses of connective tissue. They are very hard and at first we thought they were broken or misplaced hardware from previous back surgery. I've had over 15 spinal surgeries/fusions in my lumbar and cervical spine areas. Anyone know what this could mean and what type of doctor should my GP refer me to to resolve whatever's going on? Also they are causing more pain than I already have and difficulty walking.

I assume you would want to see an orthopedic surgeon for a consult on this...........

    Re: Masses of Connective Tissue

Thank you, after an inconclusive CT, MRI, Ultrasound and X-rays I've now been referred to a surgical oncologist for biopsy/removal of the two masses/lumps. I see him tomorrow.
