Medtronics? any ops on implants to block pain?

hubby's pain doc has suggested those electrical implants to block/confuse the pain signal in order to hopefully help him. He had a L4-5 L5-S1 laminectomy without fusion except for packing some shaving in where he trimmed the bulge of the disc. He is up to Percet 10's 5 times a day, can't walk 50 feet with pain and fatigue running down right leg worse than left. Has anyone had good results with it or what results have you had???
