Re: had bad back for years help

I think you should make an appointment with an ortho or neuro and find out what is wrong with your back. You can't just get a diagnosis from a support need tests. Anything could be wrong, from bulging disc to spinal stenosis, arthritis, bursitis, spondy...and the list goes on. Good luck.
Welcome to the Healthboards for Back Problems. I am sorry to hear of all your back pain and I can relate to it. I would have to agree with Carol as we cannot diagnosis you. You have describes symptoms that so may of us suffer but you need to be properly diagnosed. Have you had an MRI and if so when was your last? From what I read, when a person first injures their self it does not always immediately show on their first films. This is why you need to see either an ortho or neuro surgeon and have testing repeated if you have not done so already. Also while seeing these doctor's you can still go and see a pain management doctor. These doctor's will help you with your pain and they can also run other testing and do other procedure's to help you with your pain. I am concerned that not only are you in so much pain but you are also experiencing a burning sensation and that is not a good sign. Please keep us updated and maybe you can tell us what tests have already been done. My prayer's are with you.
