Re: cracking your back???

I was watching my grandson walk on my daughter's back the other day and she was complaining about back pain. I think that only a person who is practiced in backs should do anything with the back. You only get one. Why risk it??????

Re: cracking your back???

I don't know why but I really don't think it's a good idea. I used to get my back cracked all the time from friends and stuff, they had no idea what they were doing but I knew what felt good and told them how to do it. I have a lot of back problems now, I do not blame it on that but it obviously didn't help in the long run, so why bother. Ask your doctor, he/she will be able to tell you why. I guess there's a reason doctors, phyisotherapists and chiropractors have to go through so much school. I certainly wouldn't walk into a physiotherapists office when he/she hadn't had any schooling and wasn't certified. Take care and think about it carefully. kristy.

Re: cracking your back???

How about getting your back "adjusted" after having a lami/discectomy? I always cracked my back before my surgery, but now have not dared to try. I still crack my neck and my upper back but not my lower back. It actually feels like it doesn't need to be cracked. Is it advisable to go to a chiropractor after such surgery?

Re: cracking your back???

I don't think that I would go to a chiropractor after surgery. I would definitly check with a spine specialist before making any decisions. You certainly don't want more porblems. Take care. Kristy.
