For females with problems at L3

Ladies, help me out here. I've been diagnosed with a bad disc at L3. I've also been told they see arthritis in my back. My question is, have any of you who have problems at L3 noticed problems with your period?
I've always had a cycle you could set your clock to but haven't had a normal period since January of this year. I'm only 33 and hoping this isn't some kind of early menopause or something. Oh yeah, I have no kids, unless you count my dog.
I appreciate your information. Thanks!

Re: For females with problems at L3

What kind of treatment have you had for your disc problem? I had a herniation at l4/l5. I went throught and epidural steroid injection and surgery (microdiscectomy). Right after my surgery, my cycle which had always been very regular was completely out of whack. My gyno told me that the stress that my body was put under was most likely the cause of my sudden irregular cycle. He told me to give it 6 months. In my sixth month, my cycle suddenly corrected itself. I also started to panic thinking that I was going into early menopause ( I am also 33.)

Re: For females with problems at L3

My last surgery was in November '03 and a few months after, all was back to normal. This recent weirdness is coming about with nothing major going on. I have disc degeneration at L3 and LOTS of pain but it's not new. My mom has advised me to see the gyno asap but with my back pain, just getting there is an issue right now. Thanks for the input.
