I have cervical and lumbar disc problems (4 herniations). Have received 3 epidurals in my neck (total waste of time), but am now attempting to address the pain resulting from L5-S1 herniation.
My pain management doc just suggested the "Dekompressor" option for my L5-S1 disc (I have a 3-4mm buldge), however I also have disc dehydration... I'm curious as to how that would work? If the disc is dehydrated, how would the rest of the disc "suck back into the correct area"? Does anyone have a theory? My chiropractor doesn't feel that the procedure is all that promising, taking into consideration my circumstances (the dehydration etc).. I'm starting accupuncture on Tuesday and hope to get some relief that way. I'll keep you posted (no pun intended)
Thanks for any feedback..
