Question Tender Buttcheek ?

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Anyway the left buttcheek is tender to the touch. Any ideas what that might be from?

Re: Tender Buttcheek ?

Could be from your SI Joint or it might be Piriformis Syndrome. Do a search on both of those and see if you have any other things that go along with them. They are very similar.

Re: Tender Buttcheek ?

S-I is probably inflamed from prolonged time sitting or laying on it. Seriously get out and walk. Also ask doc about some prednisone or something for the inflamation. Our office said it was common in back patients.
Blessings,
Michelle

Re: Tender Buttcheek ?

I walk twice a day around the block at work. Plus I am always in and out of my office chair. I wish I could take the prednisone but the doc wount give it to me until my fusion is solid.

Re: Tender Buttcheek ?

Can you take Advil? That works pretty good.

Re: Tender Buttcheek ?

Hey JB , when I walk I feel like death has formed all around me..I feel so tired an weak after walking 50 yards. My back hurts and legs gets the knife feeling and my feet pound. And my doctor tells me to walk. Thats like telling a perfect person to hold a lighter to their hand and burn theirself. My tailbone hurts if I sit up to long.

Re: Tender Buttcheek ?

Could also be facet joint pain. My doctor told me that if the pain is in the butt, or if it goes as far down as the thigh, but not below the knee, it could be facet joint.. They can do injections and radiofrequency lesioning if that is what it is... I have this problem since they found that I have DDD and arthritis of facet.. Never even heard of a facet until it hurt me...
