Aleve & other medications

I want to know if you can take aleve w/mobic&ultram?
I have periods w/my back that i don't have to take aleve,but
here lately i've had to take about 2 alevav a day.I'm having a flare up now
&i'm just tired of the pain(I can't function on the job&at home
during theses times).It's wearing on my nerves.I'm just going to a regular medical dr.But,I'm seriously thinking about a specialist.I think maybe he could regulate the med.'s better.'ve had alot of PAIN meds.(that takes care of the pain if I take usually 1 Lorcet a day.But,I can't stay on this always.
Any advice,I will appreciate!

Hi Oddie,
I'm sorry you're having such pain. If I were you, I'd call either my doctor or my pharmacist with your question. The folks on the board are wonderful and have lots of good information, but we're not doctors. I'd hate for you to get well-meaning but incorrect information. Best to go to the experts for this. I prefer calling my pharmacist for questions like this because I can get an immediate answer instead of waiting for a call back from the doctor.

Hi Oddie..

I believe that Mobic is an anti-inflammatory, and so is Aleve (naproxen) and should not be taken together.. If anything, your doctor may increase your dose of mobic, or aleve, but not both..

Also, ibuprofen is also an antiinflammatory, and you should not take this as well with aleves..
