Unhappy Large hard immobile bulge in back of neck.

I've had this large bulge in the back of my neck for a long time now, it feels like it's part of my spine and it's ultra hard, immobile and causes my neck to bend. I thought it might be a buffalo hump but I think it may be some kind of spinal deformity. it feels a bit larger then a golf ball and it's really starting to bother
me mentally more then anything as it doesn't hurt unless I press it against a wall
or something. anyone have any idea what this could possibly be?

Just curiuos because the more we know the more we may be able to help answer your qestion. There is also a spine disorder board on here that deals with cervical issues if this is one. Hi thanks, no I haven't been to the doctors yet. It doesn't hurt nor does it tingle. I remember having it as young as 15 and I"m 19 now, however it seems more noticeable now.

It could just be a benign growth or very large lymph node. But since you have noticed a change in it.. you need to not monitor it on your own any longer and get a doctor to look at you. Better safe than sorry guy. Let us know.

I agree you should have it checked out to figure out what it is. Better safe than sorry down the road. Good luck.

Well no change but major depression has set in over it. I don't have insurance or money right now for a doctors visit. I think it may be a cyst or a growth under the bone. It appears the vertebrae under it feels a bit larger then is normal as well.
