    What is "spondylitic ridging"

    Hi!

I have my CT Scan results, 6 months post fusion. I understand what most of the report says but I have never heard of "spondylitic ridging". It says "diffuse posterior spondylitic ridging...."I do know what spondylitis is. Can anyone tell me what that term means?

As far as fusing, the report only says "there is minimal bony bridging across the disk space. I guess that means it is fusing just a little. I have my dr. appt. on the 24th so will know more then.

    Thanks!

    Harmony

Has no one else been told they had "spondylitic ridging"? LOL! I guess that is an unusual term? '

Harmony, not only must it be rare, I couldn't find it anywhere. I can only guess from the reading I've done that it is a type of arthritis....but I sure hope when you see your doctor, you'll come back and explain it! My curiousity is at a peak!

Thanks for your reply, Carol.......I searched the internet too and can't find it. I can only think by the terms what it "might" be but it's got me curious too. I'll let you know when I find out.

Harmony, I did a quick research and this is what I saw. It is degenerative degenerative disc changes causing narrowing of the forman. Are you having nerve pain symptoms?

Remember I am just another spinney but this is my non-medical interpretation.

Thanks, Pepper! That's helpful. Yes, I'm having nerve pain symptoms in my legs and feet and is very painful along with numbness, burning and foot swelling. This has all gotten worse since my fusion in March.

I hope you're doing okay. I need to ready the threads and see how everyone else is doing.

    Take care!
