scs & pain pump

Am schuduled to have my second scs trial fitted in April 09 after they put the 1st electrode in the wrong place, i was wondering if the scs doesn't work for all my pain is it possible to have a pain pump fitted as well, or is it one or the other? my pain goes from my neck to the bottom of my bum and my pain managment dr says he can only cover a little bit of my pain because my pain area is so large. does anybody have a scs fitted? how much of the pain does it control & do you still have to use other pain releif? Is there anybody who has both the scs & the pain pump? or am i dreaming too much about a relitivley pain free life??
