I have just returned from a doctors apt 3 months post op. I had my second disc/laminectomy on l 5/ s 1. I thought I was doing great because I can walk 30.min. twice a day and even more running errands. I am on 1200;Mg a day for sciatic pain but no other Meds. He told me that I would still need a fusion in the future because of calcification of my disc.....I am beginning physical therapy and swimming soon he said no amount of exercise will avoid fusion. My question is....anyone expedienced this scenerio and have you been better 6 months or 9 months out? I am going to Europe in July and am worried.....thanks for your help! This board is wonderful...,
