Problems with finding the right lipstick?

:nono: Does anyone ever go to the store and see the model of the lipstick and think it looks good but are not able to open the lipstick because it is sealed?
So you buy it anyway and open the seal only to find out it doesn't look the way the model shows.
It looks ugly instead of nice as you first thought, and it doesn't look good on your lips.
I bought a revlon lipstick today and it was definitely deceiving with the way the model lipstick perceived it as looking good, but the real one was really ugly. It was "Eye of New York" and the color didn't look good on my lips. I just wasted my money on the lipstick. If I was able to open it I would have been able to tell if the lip color was right.

Does anyone else have problems with wasting money on lipsticks because you got the wrong color?

Go to a makeup counter where you can test the lipsticks before you buy them...it costs a little more, but it beats wasting money on the wrong colors.

Try a make-up counter or Mary Kay- they have samples that you can try before you buy- I think MK Lipsticks are $10- not much difference than Revlon and better than wasting your money.

I think if you have one in your area, Rite Aid allows you to bring cosmetics back if you don't like them.
