    Post Japanese hair straightening nightmare

I just had my hair "Japanese" chemically straightened and it is fried! The sections where my hair is highlighted are totally straw like and my stylist assures me that a few conditioning treatments will make it all better. Anyone experience this?

I'm sorry what happened to you. I hope you get everything "straightend out" no pun intended. I hope the conditioning treatment work for you.

I straighten my hair with a salano flat iron. I don't trust those chemical procedures, due to experiences like yours. A long time ago I had a salon braid my hair and put perming solution on the individual braids and my hair was fried for months. I looked like a witch. I was in highschool so it was very embarrasing. Noone asked me to the prom Maybe it was my hair..maybe not..Oh well I'm a babe NOW!! Phewey to them!!

not for me.. When I went to Japan I tried their salon services there and I liked it! They have great styles and good chemical products.

I straighted my hair using the japanese method myself at home (saving hundreds of dollars btw)
and when I got done my hair felt like straw! I waw about to burst into tears...but after a few condionting treatments it was back to normal.

Try Thermasilk Heat wrap...it works really well.
