My daughter put med brown over her dark blonde hair. It supposed to wash out after 24-28 shampoos but it taking alot longer than that. Any ideas about how to speed up the process and get the dye out now.

Re: removing semi permanent hair dye
Even semi-perm haircolor can be nearly impossible to remove, especially on light color hair. I suggest she see good hairdresser who may be able to lighten it up, without bleaching it out.
You could try to lighten it up some at home by washing it a lot with a strong shampoo.

You can also try washing it with *Joy* dish washing liquid. It is a natural stripper for hair color...so says my hair dresser lol

I had the same thing happen to me when I was a teenager. You could try lemon juice or Sun-In (at drugstores) to lighten it up.

Beware of Sun-In! You can wind up with yellow or orange hair using it over brown hair color!

Re: removing semi permanent hair dye
She should go to the hairdresser and get a weave that has her own natural tone of blonde in. A heavy weave. Then as it grows out, her hair will look good again and she can get regular haircuts until it grows out. I don't know if that semi-perm stuff ever comes out. It just fades and fades until it is an unnatural color.
