    Cool Sensitive Eyes!

Just wondering if anyone else has the same problems I do with face creams. Seems like no matter which ones I try (and I've tried almost all the name brand face creams!), it doesn't irritate my skin at all...just my eyes! It seems to make my eyes burn for the entire day! Has anyone else experienced this and if so...what do you use for a moisturizer/night cream. Thanks for your responses!

    Re: Sensitive Eyes!

I have the same problem and was going to post the same question until I noticed your post. I'm disappointed no one responded to you.

I was looking for a good moisturizer that will make my skin look hydrated,
but not burn my eyes. I have used coconut oil, but it's greasy, and a facialist told me the molecules are too big to really penetrate the skin.
A different facialist told me that Vaseline burns the skin, so I don't use it.

I was thinking about going to Whole Foods and maybe trying an organic product suggested by the store salesperson who works in the cosmetic department. I have been reading about apricot oil making the skin look beautiful, I don't know if it burns the eyes, but I haven't tried it.

Are you trying the hypoallergenic ones? And ones with no perfume? I have very sensitive skin and eyes and use only certain brands of makeup and creams. I find the Equate non-allergenic night cream to be good. And I use Lancome Renergie Yeux eye cream only...the Renergie line of Lancome is fragrance free and is the only non-hypoallergenic brand I can use.

    Re: Sensitive Eyes!

Eye creams usually ALWAYS burn my eyes too! The one thing I found that works is using Curel lotion on my eye area, and my regular moisturizer on the rest of my face. Curel is great for sensitive skin and doesn't burn my eyes. I have a small tube of it that is great to carry around for your hands too. It is the one in a blue tube and I have the "ultra healing" kind. My mom has rosacea and this doesn't bother her sensitive skin either.. just stick to the unscented kinds. I think the one I use has a light scent (kind of sweet smelling) but they have unscented ones too.

I've also used Ponds Eye Defeye and it didn't seem to irritate my eyes, but Curel has worked just as well and is a great price. The Ponds one was about $10, still good, but Curel is under $10 even for the bigger sized bottles.

    Re: Sensitive Eyes!

I am allergic to fragance, get terrible headaches, so I use unscented products. I haven't been using a night cream,
I was using the coconut oil, even though the facialist said it doesn't penetrate. I use the Equate body cream in the big jar, I didn't know Equate makes a night cream.

I use Oil Of Olay Complete with sunblock during the day, but I don't get it too close to my eyes, because they burn a little. I wanted to try something else,
so thanks for all the suggestions!

    Re: Sensitive Eyes!

I use vitamin e oil. I'm now wondering if that would be the same as coconut oil?
I was looking for something very natural to use on my skin.
