Re: Lipstick that stays on???

I, too, use LipFinity... I love it!!! It is a tad drying (to say the least) but I've found that by lathering up with Chapstick Medicated before I go to sleep at night gets rid of that problem. In fact, my lips are softer than they've ever been. Preventative action, I guess...

At any rate, this lipstick is phenomenal. A bit expensive, but it does last all day, so you're not constantly reapplying and going through a lot of lipstick. It's just great!!!

BTW - Cover Girl Outlast is good too. Less expensive, but I don't think it lasts as long. And when applied on the lips, they really don't look like the colors in the container. Just my thoughts...

Same here with the Lipfinity. Stays on for ages and ages, but it does feel drying. I only wear it on days that I know I'm not going to want to bother reapplying. Also, one day I used regular chapstick throughout the day instead of the Lipfinity topcoat and it did wear off a little faster, but it felt better. And I was really dissappointed with the color. Looked like a nice light brownish red and when I put it on it was more of an orange!

    Hi All!
I too would highly recommend Perfect Wear by Avon. It works great. If you don't like the "dry" feel (I don't) you can wear it under or over their Lip Conditioner. It doesn't wear off even with the conditioner. Hope I'm not too late in posting!

Seems like Lip Finity and all of the new stay puts have really weird colors. Has anyone noticed that? My lips are so dry anyway its scary. I think using a humidifier in the winter helps.

I heard of something called Lip Stain you have to special order. Supposed to stay on a few days. If anyone is interested I will research where to get it. I don't know if it is drying tho.

After reading all of these posts on the Lipfinity, I decided to go out and buy it and give it a try! Well, to my dismay, my lips got incredibly dry within an hour of putting the stuff on. I agree with whoever else said it, lasting lipstick does not outweigh dry, chapped lips. I did, however, go out and buy the lasting lipstick from covergirl- pretty much the same thing as lipfinity. Covergirl is much better and isn't drying.

Revlon colorstay. Been using it for years and love it. It stays on asnd doesnt dry your lips. Better range of colors than lipfinity, or outlast too. I do have one tube of lipfinity, in a dark red color, but cant use it everyday. Too drying.

I sell Mary Kay and still use revlon colorstay lipstick, so you know it must work!!

Try Outlast by Cover Girl. It stays on all day and does NOT dry my lips out like the Revlon brand does. My lips get very chapped..This Michigan cold weather.. and I haven't been able to wear any other brand of long wearing lipstick before Outlast. I apply the lipcolor at home in the morning and just bring the glosser that comes with it to work with me. Everyone compliments me on my lips now. And I remove it with vasoline at night. Try it!! You will love it!!

P.S. the color looks darker in the tube than it looks on. So go a shade or two darker than normal.
[This message has been edited by nailchick2000 (edited 03-26-2002).]
