Lamotrigine, memory loss and cognitive issues

I've been taking 400 mg Lamotrigine for a little over 2 years and have noticed increasing issues with (short term) memory loss and cognitive issues. Lots of not being able to "find words" and remember what it is that I want to say. This happens a lot at work which isn't good.

Has anyone else had these experiences? If so, how did you handle it?

I emailed my psychiatrist to let her know I want to decrease my dose but haven't heard back from her. I mean, I don't need her permission - just a new prescription so that I can decrease to 375.

Anyway...would love to hear anyone's thoughts/experiences.
