Question Lamictal rash ...

My sweetly took lamictal for just over a year and developed a rash early on. He and I asked the doctor about it, and she said it was not from lamictal. Fast forward just over a year, and his new doctor said it was a lamictal rash, but not the deadly one. He took him off the lamictal. We are now nearly a year beyond that time, and he is still itching and the rash is still there. Even after the dermatologist gave him a "super" steroid cream for it. Now, my sister was put on lamictal and immediately developed the same non-life threatening rash, and is itching too. Her doctor took her off lamictal also, but her rash continues to get worse to the point of bleeding on her legs.the itching is so bad she is having trouble sleeping at all. Does anyone know what to use to soothe or cure his rash? Is there anything we can do at home to help with the itching? How long does this rash last? Thank you for all your help.
