Cracking ~ Delusional

I dont even know if I can write what I found on my floor this morning. I wrote pages of things that I dont remember writing. Doesn't even look like my hand writing. Very violent. Very vivid. Very hopeless. What do I do?

Call your doc. If he/she isn't available go to a mental health clinic or a hospital emergency room. Better safe than sorry...

Re: Cracking ~ Delusional

I'm calling into the medical office tuesday to give her an update. And then Friday I go in for a 4 hour psychological evaluation and then the next friday for another 4 hours. Split personality... thats scares me beyond belief. I couldn't live with that. I wouldn't accept that. I am also scheduled to have a EMDR session sometime this month. Maybe this is all coming from some trauma that I am not consciously aware of. All I know is that its going to be a tuff thing to handle these next couple months. Thanks for your input and support.

PTSD is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and is related to traumatic event(s) that occurred. From what I have read, DID is often related to traumatic events, in particular as a child. The two folks I know with DID also have a diagnosis of PTSD.

Hope that helps

Re: Cracking ~ Delusional

I have OCD, BP, and DID. DID is not a death sentance. It is one of the only MI that is actually curable. I am very high functioning - I'm a RN. I graduated 8th in my class in college and top of my class in nursing school. Many DID people are very high functioning. The BP causes me more problems.

DID usually result of tauma as a child as one poster stated. It's a highly creative mechanism that the person constructed to survive. IMHO - it's not connected to exocism at all.

Best wishes
