Some schools make it so there is very little need for cash. You can set up an account ahead of time, deposit some $ and the kid gets a swipe card that they can use in the washers and dryers, snack machines, student union, bookstore, coffee shop etc. Don't know if this will be the case where your daughter will be, but I'm betting it is.

Looks like you're in for more rain. When I was spending all my time in Sarasota, I was continually surprised at how hard it could rain!! And Sarasota is the lightning capitol of the world -- my parents house was struck when I was there. Another time I was serving dinner, carrying a plate to my dad and a bolt struck the ground right outside the window where my dad was sitting. VERY SCARY. Anyway, hope it doesn't rain that hard where you are!!
