Talking New to board

Hello all, I have recently been diagnosed with bipolar, GAD and depression. I've known I've had problems for some time now but recently decided enough was enough and sought medical help. Any questions or info about the illness would be greatly appreciated as I do not know much about bipolar. Thank you all.

Re: New to board

I'm new to the board but not bipolar.
Just wanna say hello and if you have any questions about something I can help with I would try to help you find a answer.
I'm no doctor just a survivor.

Re: New to board

I found out I had bipolar with depression,,I was taking celexa 40mg and still felt depression, the Dr. put me on Seroquel 25 mg,after 13 days I was feeling weird and wired,,no sleep,,but I was not depress. So I stop the seroquel for awhile then I decided to try the celexa with the seroguel and I really found that this is helping me now.I have a Dr. appt, this week and tell him that is is what I have found out for me.Hope all works out for you,,its very confusing at first and by trying things and some times alot of different efforts to get you back to your self, remember everyone is different so it made take awhile for the right meds foryou.

Greetings Anon, same diagnosis here. Besides the medications, having someone supportive in your life would be of great help. My spouse just makes matters worse, continually.
WellbutrinXL300 mg, Pristiq 100mg, Lamactil 300mg, Klonopin 3 mg daily.

Re: New to board

We here deal with what you do to a degree.
Having Bipolar Disorder does suck.
It is tricky, too.

Emotionally it can hurt simply because it's not understood or accepted by those that do not have it.
At times it aches physically and not a lot of people understand this as well.

At the same time, we can be thankful because unlike some other sicknesses, we come out of it. There are storms & there are calm waters with this disgusting disease.

Speaking life and understanding there's a shore through an episode can keep your head above water during.

Good luck & stay Blessed.
