Smile Question about Missing Placebo Week for Birth Control

I have 3 month supply of monophastic pills. I am going away for 6 weeks and trying to not get my period during that time; however, I just recently starting take the pill, I have almost a full month completed. Does anyone know if it would be better for me to...(not taking pill for birth control, just for period control)

    A. Take the 3 months continuously without placebo weeks
    B. Take the first month, and take say 3-4 days placebo (NOT the full 7, because my trip starts by then)

Which above the above would be better for less spotting?

    THANKSSS

There isn't any way to know unless you've done this before. Some spot, some don't. But if you take the placebo pills for 3-4 days, you willl have a full blown period from that.

I took continuous low dose birth control pills for 20 years. I can't tell you what is best for you but I can tell you what I was told..

Many female athletes avoid their period by doing this...
The period we get on those placebo (iron) pills is a fake period. You haven't built up a lining to shed.

WEll, fake period - but she'll bleed and that's what she's trying to avoid- no matter what you call it.

exactly which is why I didn't take the placebos, and went straight to a new pack.

The odd thing is that she is just asking about spotting and not whether she'll have a regular bleed....

To the OP Haley.. My answer is A.
If you skip the placebos, AND take birth control pills on those days..you won't bleed. It's called continuous birth control.. I did this for years. If you, the OP, have any questions about my experience, please PM me. Take care
