    Question Bleeding after quitting birth control only taken for ONE WEEK
    Turns out I can’t take BC because of a heart condition, so I made it one week before my Dr told me to quit them. Taking low dose Avian pills and two days after stopping I have had heavy bleeding and cramps— never on the pill before and my periods have never been this severe. Is this my period coming after being on the hormones? Or something else?

    Yes. The week's worth of pills were enough to cause a bleed. It will straighten out once your ovaries are back in charge.
