Birth Control Patch and skipping periods

Has anybody successfully skipped a period with the birth control patch? I would occasionally start a new pack of pills when I finished the "live" pills in order to skip a period, for say, vacation or something. I thought I was going to have gallbladder surgery so I started a new patch after the third patch previous. I have had bleeding from the third day on, about two weeks now. Just wondered if anybody else experienced this or was successful in skipping periods?

you've been bleeding for 2 weeks now? Heavy or just light spotting? Because my doctor said it could very well be possible (when you skip, but i don't think for THAT long). If you're very concerned about it, then just go see your doctor.

About skipping, i asked the same thing right here...

And just for more reassurance, i asked my doc about it yesterday, and he said it's perfectly normal, common to skip, for vacation and once in a while here and there, but don't over do it. And again, spotting can occur.

Re: Birth Control Patch and skipping periods

Its like the first or second day of a period. Enough to wear a pad, and its mostly in the morning. I'm supposed to take the last patch off this Sunday and then have a period Thursday and then put a new patch on next Sunday. If I'm still bleeding by then, I figured I'd go see the doctor. Its more annoying than anything.
