i just switched to loestrin 24 and i keep bleeding. how can i stop?

How long have you been on it and how long have you been bleeding? If its more than two weeks, you want to call your doctor and talk to him/her about this. There is no way to stop bleeding on a pill, this pill might not be right for you...however, there is such a thing as break thru bleeding, which is usually lighter then a period, although a real pain to deal with...sometimes, when you start a new pill, this happens the first month off and on. I wouldnt worry unless you have been bleeding for at least 2 straight weeks..in which case, call your doc!

When I took this pill one of the things that I hated was the breakthrough bleeding. Depending on your doctor, they may tell you to wait it out for a few months for you body to get used to it. But if it is really bothering you, you can have your Doc switch you to another brand. Good luck!

I have called my doctor. She simply says breakthrough bleeding is expected since everbody's body reacts differently to birth control. She says once my body gets used to it, it will stop. But it's been a month already. How long will it take before my body is used to it????
